Palantir Technologies announced a stellar second quarter, surpassing expectations with a remarkable 93% year-over-year revenue growth, reaching $1.94 billion. The primary driver of this impressive performance was a staggering 149% increase in U. S. commercial revenue, which climbed to $764 million. This surge highlights the accelerating adoption of Palantir's artificial intelligence platforms by businesses across the United States.
The company also saw significant growth in its U. S. government segment, with revenue up 90% year-over-year to $809 million. Palantir CEO Alex Karp attributed the company's "otherworldly" results to the growing demand for "AI sovereignty," stating that enterprises are increasingly seeking ownership of their data and models rather than relying on consumption-based token models. This sentiment is clearly resonating with customers, as evidenced by Palantir's record-breaking deal volume, including 220 deals exceeding $1 million during the quarter.
Buoyed by this strong performance, Palantir has raised its full-year revenue guidance. The company now projects 2026 revenue to be between $8.15 billion and $8.16 billion, up from previous forecasts. This upward revision, coupled with strong contract growth and a remarkable Rule of 40 score of 155%, indicates sustained momentum for Palantir as it capitalizes on the evolving AI landscape. Investors will be watching closely to see if this trajectory continues as the demand for secure and sovereign AI solutions intensifies.
