ASML Stock Price Forecast: Q2 Earnings Beat and Raised Guidance

Share:

ASML Holding NV (ASML) experienced a significant surge in its stock price following the announcement of its second-quarter 2026 financial results. The Dutch multinational, a critical supplier of lithography machines for semiconductor manufacturing, reported that its second-quarter revenue reached €9.33 billion, exceeding analyst expectations of €8.80 billion. Net income also came in higher than anticipated, at €2.92 billion, surpassing the market consensus of €2.62 billion.

The company's performance was bolstered by strong demand across its product portfolio, particularly driven by investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure. ASML's CEO, Christophe Fouquet, highlighted that ongoing AI-related investments are fueling demand for advanced logic and memory chips, which in turn is accelerating customer capacity expansion plans. This robust customer commitment provides ASML with increased visibility into longer-term demand.

In addition to beating its second-quarter targets, ASML raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of €43 billion to €45 billion, up from its previous forecast of €36 billion to €40 billion. This upward revision reflects the company's confidence in sustained demand and its ability to navigate supply chain constraints. Analysts have responded positively to the news, with several maintaining "Buy" ratings and raising price targets, with some forecasts suggesting the stock price could break the $2,000 mark.

The company's strategic capacity increases, including plans to add 30% to its low-NA EUV capacity for 2027, further underscore its commitment to meeting future demand. While challenges such as export controls and market volatility remain, ASML's dominant position in the EUV lithography market and strong customer relationships position it for continued growth.
