Verizon Communications Inc. has delivered a record-breaking second quarter for 2026, showcasing impressive financial and operational performance driven by its ongoing strategic transformation. The company announced its highest-ever consolidated adjusted EBITDA, reaching $13.7 billion, a 7.2% increase year-over-year, with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 40.1%. This strong performance underscores the success of Verizon's customer-first strategy, which has focused on operational discipline and improved unit economics.

The telecom giant reported a 2.8% year-over-year increase in mobility and broadband service revenue, reaching approximately $23.4 billion. This growth was supported by robust subscriber additions, with the company adding 184,000 postpaid phone net additions, the strongest second-quarter consumer performance in five years. Overall, Verizon achieved more than 550,000 total mobility and broadband net additions in the quarter, more than doubling year-over-year additions for the first half of 2026.

In light of these strong results, Verizon has raised its full-year 2026 guidance for mobility and broadband service revenue growth to a range of 2.5% to 3.0%. The company also increased its adjusted earnings per share growth outlook to 6% to 7% and boosted its free cash flow growth guidance to 9% to 10%. Additionally, Verizon announced a significant $1 billion-plus dark fiber agreement with Google, aimed at connecting the tech giant's artificial intelligence data centers, further highlighting the company's strategic expansion into new growth areas.
