PlayStation Plus is making headlines as Sony unveils its Monthly Games lineup for May 2026. The headliner is EA Sports FC 26, the latest installment in the popular soccer franchise. Subscribers can download it starting next week, on Tuesday, May 5. This addition comes with an "EA Sports FC 26 PlayStation Plus Icons Pack" for subscribers to claim over the next month.
Two other titles round out the May offerings: Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a Soulslike action RPG, and Nine Sols, an indie Metroidvania. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers stands out for its flexible character builds and well-designed world. Nine Sols offers a lore-rich, hand-drawn 2D action-platformer experience with Sekiro-inspired combat. These games will be available for download on May 5.
This news follows a price increase for PlayStation Plus in Canada last year, which sparked outrage among Canadian PlayStation owners. In April 2025, Sony increased the prices for all three PlayStation Plus tiers, with the Essential plan now at $109.99 CAD, Extra at $189.99 CAD, and Premium at $224.99 CAD. Despite the price hike, the addition of popular titles like EA Sports FC 26 may provide some value for Canadian subscribers.
Keep in mind that April's games, including Lords of the Fallen, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, are only available until May 4. Be sure to add them to your library before they're gone.
