Fenerbahce, a prominent Turkish sports club, is currently generating buzz due to reported acquisitions in their basketball division. As the team prepares for its EuroLeague playoff series against Zalgiris, news has emerged that they have reached agreements with two guards: Trent Forrest and Ignas Sargiunas.
Trent Forrest, a 27-year-old American point guard currently playing for Baskonia, is known for his physicality. He has averaged 10.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists in EuroLeague this season. Ignas Sargiunas, 26, plays for Rytas Vilnius and has also gained attention, averaging 12.1 points in the Basketball Champions League.
While neither club has made an official announcement, Cem Ciritci, Fenerbahce's basketball branch manager, released a statement emphasizing the team's focus on their current goals. He stated that no players have been officially signed yet and that the club has unwavering confidence in the current team and head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius. Official evaluations will be made after the season concludes.
